Our Story - The Utah Ren Fest
The Utah Ren Faire began with a simple dream: to bring the magic of a true Renaissance fair to Utah. Our first event in 2006 was just three days long, but the excitement from guests and artisans alike inspired us to grow.
In 2007, thanks to the Smout family, we moved to their old farm in Marriott-Slaterville, where the Knights of Mayhem jousted to the delight of festival-goers. Magical performances by Yom al Had, Royal Magick, and Eric Wanner’s Gypsy Majick set the stage for the festival’s expansion.
After a few years at the Tippets Family Farm—including a dramatic 2011 flood that forced a last-minute temporary site—we’ve now found a lasting home near Exit 346 of I-15. Here, visitors enjoy jousting, equestrian games, archery, and vaulting, letting everyone experience life like a knight without heavy armor or risk.
Now held over three magical weekends in mid-May, the Utah Ren Fest features incredible performers, talented artisans, and the neighboring Ravens Haven Tavern, serving honey-crafted drinks for all.
Whether you love history, fantasy, or live performance, we invite you to step into our realm and join our Ren Faire family—an experience of adventure, wonder, and merriment awaits!
